The goal of our training is to improve the capabilities of everyday persons and persons working with and for non-profit organizations, to affect progressive social change that improves the health, safety and well-being of all South Carolinians .

Fair Share provides training and technical assistance to community groups and organizations that are working to advance the health, safety, and well-being of their communities through programs that have purposes to relieve the poor and distressed or the underprivileged, the defense of human and civil rights, the elimination of prejudice and discrimination, the combating of neighborhood deterioration and threats to the environment. Fair Share looks especially to provide these services to organizations that cannot afford to purchase them from commercial entities. A special focus of our work is in in low and moderate-income communities. This training and technical assistance is designed to improve and develop the capability of staff and boards of community organizations in areas of leadership skills, financial management, fundraising, research techniques, policy/legislative advocacy, community organizing, lobbying and grassroots lobbying, board and organizational development. Fair Share charges nominal fees to help defray the cost of formal training and technical assistance sessions. However, fee waivers are available to those unable to pay and Fair Share may reimburse costs of attendance, e.g. mileage, staff time, and supplies.
